The Tokyo Branch, one of the organizations that supports the Japan Art Sword Preservation Association,
currently has 153 memebers. At the sword study meeting held four times
a year, we decide on a research theme and conduct research with the cooperation
of sword dealers and craftsmen related to swords.
I would like to express my great gratitude for their cooperation.
However, with the recent aging of the population, the number of members
has been declining,
and we believe that increasing and nurturing young enthusiasts will be an important responsibility in the future.
We will continue to move forward so that we can nurture and maintain a
high level of eyes to appreciate,
eyes to be discerned, and eyes to be appraised through swords and sword
accesories.
We would like to continue to promote friendship among members, ask for
the cooperation of our members,
and move forward so that we will pass on swords and sword accesories, which
are Japanese art.
Chairman of the Tokyo Branch
